JAKARTA - The National Police has confirmed that the vehicle registration service has resumed operations as of Monday, May 9. The service process had originally been stopped since the 2022 Eid holiday.

"With the completion of Operation Ketupat 2022, we (Polri) will reopen services for people who want to apply for a SIM, STNK, or BPKB," said the Regident Director of the National Police Korlantas, Brigadier General Yusri Yunus, to reporters on Monday, May 9.

That way, now people can settle all matters regarding their vehicle documents.

Although, previously the police had provided relaxation for people whose SIMs expired during holidays and group leave.

"So, there has been relaxation if the validity period expires during the holiday yesterday. The public is advised to immediately extend, because services have been reopened," said Yusri.

Meanwhile, the National Police had stopped processing vehicle documents at Satpas, outlets, or mobile driving licenses from Friday, April 29 to Sunday, May 8.
