Anies Receives Customary Honor In Tulang Bawang Barat Lampung

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan received an honorary title of Lampung Pepadun Tuan Penata Negarou (Tuan Penata Negara) from the Federation of Indigenous Clans of Four (Marga Pak) Tulang Bawang Barat, Lampung.

Seen on aniesbaswedan's Instagram account, the awarding of the honorary customary title was carried out directly by the Head of the Four Tulang Bawang Indigenous Federation, Herman Artha on Sunday, May 8. Anies showed a bright smile when taking a group photo.

Furthermore, it was continued by reading the traditional skepticism, inauguration by the traditional leader, and giving Anies a charter.

"We are very happy to be back in Tulang Bawang Barat (Tubaba). Tulang Bawang Barat is a special area for us," said Anies, Monday, May 9.

Anies then reviewed the memory of himself first setting foot in Tubaba on November 11, 2010 ago. The former Chancellor of Paramadina University led scholars who became lecturers in the Indonesia Mengajar movement.

"Tubaba is one of the few districts that have stated that they are willing to accept the first batch of Indonesia Teaching," said Anies.

When Anies served as Minister of Education and Culture in 2015, he returned to Tubaba, when Indonesia Teaching in Tubaba was completed in 2015.

After serving as the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Anies also once received the arrival of the Regent of Tubaba to visit the city hall.

"From the bottom of our hearts we express our appreciation, thank you for the honor bestowed upon us. God willing, we will live it to the best of our ability. West Tulang Bawang will always be an important part of our journey of life, a place that gives a very deep impression. God willing. This is not the last time we extend this friendship," said Anies.
