Until May 9, 16 Percent Of Homecoming Vehicles Still Haven't Returned Via Merak Port

JAKARTA - The Banten Regional Police said that 16 percent of homecoming vehicles that had departed from Merak Port, Banten to Bakauheni Port, Lampung, had not yet returned. This percentage is based on a comparison of ship passenger data.

"The total number of vehicles that have not returned is 16 percent or a difference of 42,908 units," said Head of Public Relations of the Banten Police, Kombes Shinto Silitonga, to reporters, Monday, May 9.

Referring to passenger data as of May 8, there were 268,859 vehicles departing from Merak Port. Then, for vehicles departing from Bakauheni Port, Lampung as many as 225,951.

"For two-wheeled vehicles that have not returned about 23 percent or 18,461 and four-wheeled vehicles 13 percent or 24,447," said Shinto.

Still on the same data, the number of passengers who had departed from Merak Port was 1,207,534. Meanwhile, only 1,050,899 people have returned.

"From the data about 156,635 people who have not returned," said Shinto.
