Weather Forecast: Rain Will Fall In A Number Of Big Cities In Indonesia

JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts rain will fall in a number of major cities in Indonesia on Monday 9 May.

According to BMKG data, heavy rain accompanied by lightning and thunder is predicted to occur in the cities of Banda Aceh, Yogyakarta, Banjarmasin, and Manado.

Rain with light intensity has the potential to be present in the cities of Gorontalo, Bandung, Palangkaraya, Pangkal Pinang, Ambon, Mataram, Manokwari, Pekanbaru, Makassar and Kendari.

Only Ternate has the potential to experience moderate-intensity rain, while Denpasar, Jakarta, Samarinda, Tanjung Pinang, Jayapura, Mamuju, Padang and Medan are forecasted to experience cloudy weather. Only Semarang has the potential to have heavy cloudy weather.

Sunny and cloudy weather has the potential to occur in Serang, Bengkulu, Jambi, Surabaya, Pontianak, Tarakan, Bandar Lampung, Kupang and Palembang.

Temperatures in the big cities ranged from 22 to 34 degrees Celsius with humidity ranging from 55 to 100 percent.
