According To Police Calculations, There Are Still 300 Thousand Vehicles That Will Enter Jakarta During The 2022 Lebaran Return

JAKARTA - The National Police predicts that there will still be 300 thousand vehicles that will enter Jakarta during the return flow of Lebaran 2022. Hundreds of thousands of vehicles will arrive in Jakarta on May 7 and 8.

The prediction was obtained based on a comparison of the number of vehicles leaving Jakarta during the Lebaran 2022 homecoming flow.

"If we count the vehicles that have come out, there are still more than 300 thousand left, still in the eastern area," said Dirgakkum, Korlantas Polri, Brigadier General Aan Suhanan, to reporters, Saturday, May 7.

For now or D+5, there are 107 thousand vehicles that pass through the Cikampek Utama (Citama) Toll Gate (GT).

"In 1 x 24 hours 107,000 (vehicles, red) pass through the Cikatama Toll Gate," he said.

That way, if you refer to the calculation data, the traffic flow to Jakarta is likely to be congested on Saturday 7 May and the following day.

However, Aan said that an appeal to the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) and the private sector to implement work from home (WFH) until May 12 could reduce traffic congestion.

"Because there has been an appeal for ASN, for the private sector for WFH, then school children also have an extended holiday until the 12th (May, ed) this can reduce the burden than the road, so the volume is reduced," said Aan.

Meanwhile, the National Police applies a one-way or one-way scheme from the Kalikangkung toll road to Jakarta-Cikampek (Japek) KM 3+500. The decision to extend this scheme is because the number of vehicles going to Jakarta continues to increase.

"Yes, it has (the implementation of the one-way scheme from KM 414 to KM 3+500, ed)," said Head of the Ops Division of the National Police Korlantas Kombes Eddy Djunaedi.

This scheme has been in effect since 07.10 WIB. However, for the timing of the implementation of this scheme, Eddy could not be sure. Because, it will consider various things, one of which is the number of vehicles that lead to Jakarta.
