Police Arrest US Chair In Medan Allegedly Involved In The Riot Demonstration

The North Sumatra Regional Police Chief Inspector General Martuani Sormin explained about the chaotic demonstrations in Medan

JAKARTA - The police have arrested the chairman of the Coalition for Action to Save Indonesia (WE) in Medan, North Sumatra with the initials HA. It is suspected that HA was involved in the chaotic demonstration.

"Securing the Chairman of the Coalition for Action to Save Indonesia (WE) in Medan, an HA who is known to be the logistics supplier," said the Head of North Sumatra Regional Police, Inspector General Martuani Sormin in a meeting at the official residence of the Governor of North Sumatra in Medan, Monday, October 12.

It is suspected that KA was involved in the chaotic demonstration against the Omnibus Law of the Job Creation Law at the North Sumatra DPRD building on October 8 last week.

"Until now we have proven it and the group does exist. For further information, please take time," he continued.

Meanwhile, when met by reporters at the Bhayangkara Hospital in Medan, Martuani said that the police had arrested 3 people who were suspected of being linked to US.

"Until now, 3 people have been secured. We plan to bring them to Jakarta," said Martuani.

"Incidentally, in that group, they called themselves the WE Medan group. We are currently studying and we have already made arrests," continued Martuani.
