BOGOR - Head of the Traffic Unit of the Bogor Resort Police, AKP Dicky Anggi Pranata, said as many as 260,000 cars entered the Puncak area since Wednesday, May 4 or D+1 Lebaran.

"From the first day, there were 260,000 vehicles recorded," said Dicky when met at the Gadog T-junction, Puncak, Bogor, as reported by Antara, Saturday, May 7.

According to him, the highest peak of vehicles entering the peak occurred on D+1 Lebaran. After that, slowly the number of vehicles visiting the peak area decreased from day to day.

On Wednesday, May 4, there were 48,000 vehicles, while Thursday, May 5, the number of vehicles arriving was reduced to 28,000.

Dicky continued that the number of vehicles that came to Puncak on Friday, May 6 was the same as the previous day, which was 28,000.

Even though the number of vehicles coming is decreasing, Dicky still applies a one-way opening and closing scheme to reduce vehicle density in the Puncak area.

"We played a 'one way' pattern from Jakarta to Puncak at 07.15, it was estimated that it would arrive at 12.00 WIB," said Dicky.

After 12.00 WIB, the Police enforced the closure of the lane from the opposite direction.

Dicky hopes that tourists who want to visit the Puncak area can adjust the departure time to the "one way" schedule that has been set.
