Passenger Backflow At Kualanamu Airport Reaches 14,797 People

MEDAN - Flight passengers on the return flow of Eid 2022 at Kualanamu International Airport, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra, on D+2 Eid 1443 Hijri or Thursday, May 5, there were 14,797 people.

"The 14,797 passengers returning for Eid include the arrival of 6,777 people and the departure of 8,020," said PT Angkasa Pura Kualanamu Branch Communication & Legal Manager Chandra Gumilar as quoted by Antara, Friday, May 6.

Chandra said that during this period there were 117 flights, namely 59 arrivals and 58 departures.

While the total cargo is 60,344 kilograms, namely 37,428 kilograms arriving and 22,916 kilograms departing.

There were two cargo flights, and two local police flights. A total of five top airlines serve return flights for Eid 2022 at Kualanamu Airport.

Previously, passengers returning for Eid 2022 at Kualanamu Airport, on D+1 Eid 1443 Hijri or Wednesday (4/5), were recorded to have reached 13,772 people.

The number of 13,772 passengers returning to Eid included 7,039 arrivals and 6,733 departures.

During this period, there were 112 flights, namely 57 arrivals and 55 departures. While the total cargo was 16,399 kilograms, namely 7,629 kilograms arrivals and 8,770 kilograms departed.

There were four unscheduled flights, including two police flights. A total of five top airlines serve return flights for Eid 2022 at Kualanamu Airport.

A total of 10,376 North Sumatran Police personnel were deployed to carry out security for Lebaran homecoming in the context of the 2022 Ketupat Toba Operation which began April 28 to May 9.
