D+4 Lebaran, The Ajibarang-Bumiayu Route Is Observed To Be Busy

BUMIAYU - The return flow on the Ajibarang-Bumiayu route was observed to be busy smoothly on D+4 Lebaran or Friday 6 May evening.

From observations at the Ajibarang Weighbridge, Banyumas Regency, the return flow from Purwokerto and Yogyakarta to the north coast route is dominated by motorbikes and private cars with license plates B, F, and A.

A number of members of the Banyumas City Resort Police (Polresta) assisted by local Transportation Service personnel seemed to regulate the flow of traffic on the Ajibarang-Bumiayu road to avoid significant congestion.

Regarding the backflow situation on the Ajibarang-Bumiayu section, Banyumas Police Chief Kombes Pol. Edy Suranta Sitepu said that in general the traffic flow was the same as the conditions on Thursday 5 May evening.

"The flow of vehicles is busy, although sometimes there is a delay, but it doesn't last long," he said, as reported by Antara.

According to him, this was caused by vehicles entering and leaving restaurants and gas stations as well as road crossings.

In addition, he said, a number of drivers were also known to reduce the speed of their vehicles when passing through an incline so that it had an impact on the vehicles behind them.

"We will continue to pull the flow of vehicles up to the border (Banyumas and Brebes Regency boundaries, ed) to keep it smooth," added the Head of the Traffic Unit, Police Commissioner Arie Prayitno.
