Eid Holiday, Occupancy Of Budget To Star Hotels In Banda Aceh Reaches 100 Percent

BANDA ACEH - The occupancy rate of jasmine and star-class hotel rooms in Banda Aceh City, the capital of Aceh Province, since the second day of Eid Al-Fitr 1443 Hijriyah until now, has reached 100 percent.

General Manager of Kyriad Muraya Aceh Hotel, Bambang Pramusinto, said that the current high hotel occupancy rate is due to the large number of residents taking long holidays.

"Alhamdulillah, the hotel occupancy rate this week is indeed very crowded," said Bambang as quoted by Antara, Friday, May 6.

He said, during the long holiday season of Eid al-Fitr 1443 Hijriyah, his party provided 180 rooms, and all of them were sold out for customers.

Bambang said that most of the guests who booked hotel rooms were tourists or immigrants from outside the Aceh Province, and residents from districts/cities in Aceh.

"Most of the guests staying overnight have booked rooms until next Sunday (8/5), because they are filling the holidays," Bambang added.

The same thing was conveyed by Fajar, a hotel receptionist in the Jalan Panglima Nyak Makam area, Banda Aceh City. He said the occupancy rate of hotel rooms since two days after Eid Al-Fitr 1443 Hiriyah was very high.

According to him, guests who book rooms to stay overnight are immigrants, and most of them come from outside Aceh.

"Guests who book rooms to fill their holidays in Banda Aceh," said Fajar.

Meanwhile, Rina, from Aceh Barat admitted that it was difficult to get a jasmine or five-star hotel room in Banda Aceh.

"It's not usually like this, all hotels are full in Banda Aceh," he said.

In the future, he hopes that business actors can see hotel business opportunities in Banda Aceh, because the level of visits by residents to the capital city of Aceh Province is indeed high, including on weekdays and holidays.
