Find 12 Positive Cases, China Wipes Nine Million People

JAKARTA - About nine million residents of Qingdao City on China's east coast have undergone a swab test. This was done after the authorities recorded 12 positive cases of COVID-19, of which six were asymptomatic.

Swab tests will be carried out periodically over the next week. Several photos uploaded by Chinese netizens show a queue of residents in front of the residential complex on Sunday, October 11 local time.

The test will be continued until Monday, October 12 at 07.00 to 23.00 local time - 06.00-22.00 WIB. To date, 114,862 medical workers, nurses and patients at several hospitals in the tourist city in Shandong Province who have tested negative.

Chinese media reported the chronology of the case, where three asymptomatic patients admitted to Qingdao Lung Hospital tested positive for COVID-19 on Sunday afternoon.

Then in the evening there were six positive and six asymptomatic all of whom were related to the hospital.

The hospital was designed to be a place to treat foreign patients. Of the 377 who had close contact with three patients at the hospital, nine were positive, including eight people consisting of nurses, patients, and the patient's family.

Data from the Qingdao City Culture and Tourism Service said 4.47 million people came and arrived in the city during the National Day and Moon Cake Festival holiday season on October 1-8, 2020.
