At 11.00-24.00 WIB, The Police Will Apply One Way From GT Palimanan Utama Km 188 To Jakarta-Cikampek Km 47

JAKARTA - The National Police Headquarters plans to carry out one-way traffic engineering from the Palimanan Utama GT Km 188 to the Km 47 Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road on Thursday, May 5.

Oneway was carried out after the results of coordination with PT Jasa Marga that the Cipali Toll Road could not accommodate the density of traffic flows on both lanes A and B with a volume capacity ratio (VCR) of 1.19.

Head of the Traffic Corps (Kakorlantas) Polri Inspector General Firman Shantyabudi said, based on monitoring via CCTV both at the NTMC and PJR Command Center as well as digital maps, it was seen that there was an increase in traffic flow from east to west.

"Based on the observations of members in the field from the Central Java Police, West Java Police, Metro Jaya Police and Korlantas traffic flow has increased compared to the previous day," explained in an electronic message received in Jakarta, Thursday, May 5.

Firman also monitors several toll points passed by homecomers when they return. For the sake of security and safety as well as smooth return flow, the police will carry out traffic engineering. In detail, one way will be implemented today around 11.00-24.00 WIB starting from the main Palimanan GT KM 188 to Km 72 Cikampek.

"Contra flow will continue up to the Jakarta Cikampek Km 47 Toll Road," Firman added.

Furthermore, vehicles that will go to Bandung and Cikampek are given 1 lane relaxation. If the traffic density begins to decrease, the one-way engineering implementation will end earlier than the existing schedule.

"However, if the density increases beyond the maximum limit, the one-way traffic engineering will be increased from GT Palimanan Utama Km 188-Jakarta Cikampek Km 47 (without relaxation) and the time will be extended," he explained.

The mechanism prior to the implementation of one way traffic engineering will be sterilization or cleaning both on the track and the rest area for 2 hours before the implementation of one way traffic engineering (9:00 am) after that the one way traffic engineering will start at 11.00 WIB.

"The mechanism after the implementation of the one way at 24.00 WIB will be normalized both on the track and at the rest area for 2 hours after the implementation of the one way (02.00) after which the lane will be opened normally," he said.
