4 Million Tourists Predicted Crowded Sukabumi

SUKABUMI - The Sukabumi Police predicts that during holidays and holidays with the celebration of Eid al-Fitr 1443 H, the number of tourists who will come from various regions to travel in various tourist objects in Sukabumi Regency, West Java will reach 4 million people.

"It is possible that on Eid al-Fitr this year the number of tourists who come to several natural tourist objects, especially beaches, will increase, because the government gives leeway for residents to celebrate Eid in their hometowns (homecoming)," said Sukabumi Police Chief AKBP Dedy Darmawansyah. Tourist arrivals to Sukabumi Regency start on D+2 Eid or on Wednesday, May 4. His party has prepared various strategies to carry out security, especially in anticipating the occurrence of traffic jams at tourist attraction locations.

One of them is engineering traffic flow to the Palabuhanratu Beach tourist attraction, precisely at Simpang Gunungbutak, Palabuhanratu District which is the entrance and exit for tourists.

The traffic flow engineering is to regulate the entry and exit of tourist vehicles, so that they do not meet each other. In addition, joint personnel have also been alerted on routes to tourist attractions, especially those leading to the Ciletuh Palabuhanratu Geopark area, such as the Cikidang Line, Simpangaratu in Cibadak District, Cikembar intersection and Bagbagan intersection.

In addition to regulating traffic flow, the officers on standby also advise tourists to be careful because there are several accident-prone points on the route to Palabuhanratu, such as in Cikidang there are steep bends.

"Tourists who come are likely from outside the region such as the Greater Jakarta area, Bandung and others. For security, we have also alerted joint personnel of tourist sites," he added.

On the first day of Eid, the flow of vehicles entering tourist sites is still relatively normal, however, around the Palabuhanratu tourist attraction and its surroundings, tourists have started to see tourists, but in general it is still quiet from visits.
