SERANG – The man with the initials JL (28) was arrested by the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Serang Police, Serang Police for the crime of violent theft at SA's house (80) on Jalan Kitapa, Cilame neighborhood, Kota Baru Village, Serang Kota District, Serang.

"The Serang Police Criminal Investigation Unit managed to secure the perpetrator with the initials JL, a resident of Taktakan, Serang City who had committed acts of theft with violence and or attempted theft and mistreatment at the house of victim SA (80)," explained the Head of the Serkot Police, AKBP Maruli Ahiles Hutapea, in a written statement issued by the Jakarta Post. received Sunday, May 1.

Maruli said that the perpetrator had been stalking the victim's house for six months. And on Saturday, April 30 at around 18.30 WIB, the perpetrator launched his action.

"The perpetrator JL carried out the action alone, where the perpetrator had been stalking the victim's house for six months," explained Maruli.

Maruli explained, the perpetrator acted when the victim was out of the house in the afternoon.

"The perpetrator knew about these routine activities and there was no one at the victim's house, the perpetrator carried out his action by climbing over the victim's house through the side wall, then entering the victim's house, but when the perpetrator was inside the victim's house the victim came home from an afternoon exercise. The perpetrator immediately hit the victim with a flower pot and stones so that the victim suffered lacerations to the head, face and hands," he explained.

"Residents who passed by the victim's house knew of the incident and immediately reported it to the Serang Police, which is about 20 meters from the scene and the perpetrator was arrested by Serang Police officers in the bathroom on the second floor of the victim's house." continued Maruli Hutapea.

The Serkot Police Chief said, as a result of the perpetrator's actions the victim suffered head injuries.

"The victim is currently being treated at the hospital due to injuries to his head, hands and face," said Maruli.

As a result of his actions, the perpetrator and the evidence were secured at the Serang Police.

"Our perpetrators are snared with the crime of theft with violence and or attempted theft and or ill-treatment, as referred to in Article 365 of the Criminal Code with a maximum prison sentence of nine years," concluded the Police Chief.
