Police Secure 1,287 Bottles Of Alcohol To Prevent Security Disturbances At Takbiran Night

PANDEGLANG - The Pandeglang Police of the Banten Police confiscated 1,287 bottles of liquor of various types. The confiscation came from operations carried out by several Sector Police, Saturday, April 30.

Pandeglang Police Chief, AKBP Belny Warlansyah, said the Pandeglang Police alone managed to confiscate 1,248 bottles of alcohol.

"Through the operation and reports from the public regarding the distribution of alcohol, the Satreskrim of the Pandeglang Police and the Sector Police of the ranks then carried out an investigation, and 1,248 bottles of alcohol were indeed secured", explained Belny Warlansyah, in a written statement received on Sunday, May 1.

Belny said the alcohol operation was aimed at minimizing disturbances to public security and order, especially in the jurisdiction of the Pandeglang Police, on the night of takbiran.

"This operation is carried out to minimize various disturbances to the Kamtibmas with the aim of law enforcement against the circulation of liquor, especially now that Eid al-Fitr is approaching", said Belny Warlansyah.

Belny added that the perpetrators who were found to be circulating alcohol would be subject to data collection, guidance and evidence and the perpetrators were secured at the Pandeglang Police Station.

"We appeal to the public not to sell liquor, especially illegal drugs, if it is found that people are selling us they will take strict action by applicable law", said Belny Warlansyah.

"According to the instructions of the Banten Police Chief to maintain the conduciveness of residents ahead of Eid al-Fitr, the Pandeglang Police are proactive in conducting raids and operations on various targets, such as sharp weapons, street crimes, including alcohol", concluded Belny.
