Police Prepare One Way Scenario On Toll Roads In Semarang City

SEMARANG - The police are preparing traffic engineering in the form of a one-way or contraflow application for the flow of vehicles on the Semarang City inner toll road from the Kalikangkung Toll Gate which will go to the Semarang-Solo toll road.

Dirgakkum Korlantas Polri Brigadier General Pol. Aan Suhanan while checking the Kalikangkung Semarang toll gate, Friday night, admitted that there was a slowdown in the inner city toll roads in the Jatingaleh to Banyumanik area.

According to him, there were several vehicles experiencing engine problems while crossing the uphill road.

"It has been overcome by the breakdown team who immediately deployed to the vehicle deceleration point," he said.

He said that the Traffic Directorate of the Central Java Police was preparing signs on the inner city toll road section.

"It can be one way or contraflow if needed from Kalikangkung to Banyumanik," he added.

Meanwhile, the evaluation of the implementation of the one-way system until tonight, said Aan, was relatively smooth.

"Homecomers are greatly helped by the traffic engineering that is carried out. It is very effective," he said.

Meanwhile, the number of homecomers crossing the Kalikangkung Toll Gate from Friday morning to evening was recorded at 41,117 vehicles.

This number is still increasing along with the implementation of one way at this toll gate.
