Feeling Guilty, PPSU Officer Who Claimed THR Money Was Stolen, Kisses Wife's Hand In Front Of The Police Chief

JAKARTA - Ray Prama Abdullah (28), an officer for handling public infrastructure and facilities (PPSU) of Mangga Dua Selatan Village, regrets his actions at the Sawah Besar Police Headquarters, Friday, April 29, afternoon.

Ray regretted that his lie regarding the theft of THR money was successfully uncovered by the investigator team of the Criminal Investigation Unit (Reskrim) of the Sawah Besar Police. Ray also admitted that he had lied and made a false report.

"I want to apologize profusely. My name is Ray Prama Abdullah, regarding the false report I made, the report is not true," Ray said before the Head of the Sawah Besar Police, Kompol Maulana Mukarom and the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit AKP Wildan, Friday, April 29, afternoon.

Ray apologized to the whole community for the noise he had made. Ray was forced to lie if he was robbed so that he would not be scolded by his wife because the THR money to become PPSU had run out for playing online gambling for Rp. 4.2 million.

"I really apologize to the whole community, especially the netizen community. Because of this incident, I was involved and I apologize to my wife, my son too, because of my mistake playing slot gambling," he said.

The story that Ray experienced when he had to deal with the Police for lying is an example in society that the impact of playing gambling is very detrimental and has a bad impact.

"I appeal to you, people don't occasionally take examples like me, don't lie, don't report things that aren't true, we have to find the real facts," he said.

Previously, it was reported that Ray Prama Abdullah (28), a PPSU officer at Mangga Dua Selatan Village, was finally able to breathe a sigh of relief. He was freed from the prison sentence of 1 year and 4 months.

Ray should be grateful for the goodwill of the Sawah Besar Police Chief Kompol Maulana Mukarom. Even though Ray had made a false report and made the public and the police noisy, Ray received forgiveness from the investigator team who put humanity first.

"The things that we value have a human side," said Kompol Maulana to VOI, Friday, April 29.

Ray should have been charged with Article 220 of the Criminal Code for notifying or complaining that a criminal act had been committed, even though he knew that it had not been done.

Ray has also made a police report with the number 25/K/IV/2022/PMJ/Restro JP/Sek SB, dated April 27, 2022 for the case of theft of THR money which turned out to be a hoax.

Kompol Maulana Mukarom said investigators assessed that the case could be pursued through other channels outside of criminal law, by adhering to the ultimum remedium principle which is one of the principles contained in Indonesian criminal law.

Investigators did not take legal action with the consideration that the person concerned was the backbone of the family.

"The person concerned has a toddler who still needs the role of a father and he admits he is guilty of his actions and will not repeat it again," he said. (Rizky Sulistio)
