BANTEN - Motorcycle travelers heading to Sumatra Island inevitably have to find the fastest way to get to Merak Harbor, Cilegon, Banten, in order to avoid traffic jams, one of which is by "blusukan".

This was done by a traveler from Tangerang, Sigoro Haryanto, who had to pass a shortcut in the village before finally arriving at Merak Harbor.

"I don't even know what path that is. I just followed the gentlemen in front of me. He said, 'yes, just come with me'. It turns out that the father works not far from the port here," Sigoro said to Antara at Merak Harbor, Cilegon, Banten, Friday, April 29.

The man who is married to a Lampung woman also has to take about three hours to arrive at the pier.

However, the tiredness paid off because he filled one of the front lines while in line for the ferry.

"As soon as I arrived at this port, I felt that the queue arrangement this time was neater than the homecoming period before the COVID-19 pandemic," said Sigoro.

Meanwhile, another motorbike traveler named Dinar was not as lucky as Sigoro. Because, he was trapped by the density of vehicles at the intersection of the Krakatau Steel industrial area (KS intersection). Dinar and his colleagues finally had to take four hours to travel to Merak Harbor even though they departed from Serang.

"Yes, Mas. Traffic jam at the KS intersection," he said.

Even so, Dinar is still enthusiastic about going home to Lampung. He had not seen relatives in his hometown for two years.

"This time I'm more enthusiastic because I haven't been home for two years," he said.

Homecoming on motorbikes has been crowding the streets of Cilegon since Friday (29/4) early in the morning. However, many of them stop between trips to buy ferry tickets, which are only sold online, at agencies.
