KARAWANG - Jasa Marga together with the police have started implementing odd-even and one-way traffic engineering towards Semarang.

Head of the Communication and Marketing Department of the Jasamarga Transjawa Tollroad Regional Division, Tody Satria, quoted by Antara, Thursday, April 28, said that the odd-even and one-way policy was implemented to anticipate an increase in traffic volume on the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road.

The policy is carried out starting from km 47 of the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road in the Karawang Regency area to km 414 (Kalikangkung toll gate). It was carried out starting at 17.00 WIB and was enforced on a situational basis.

Meanwhile, for vehicles from the opposite direction, or from Java to Jakarta, all of them are diverted to arterial roads or the Pantura route.

The police from the Karawang Regional Police claimed to have prepared the implementation of one lane, by alerting personnel at a number of points, especially at points prone to traffic jams and prone to crime.

On Thursday, the traffic flow on the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road to the Cipali toll road experienced congestion. This happened due to the density of vehicles following the queue of vehicles that would enter the toll road rest location.

Meanwhile, on the Karawang arterial road to the Pantura route towards Java and its surroundings, the traffic flows smoothly. Traffic flow had stalled at several points, such as in the Cikampek and Kosambi areas. It happened because the market spilled the number of angkot that stuck on the side of the road.
