SOLO - A total of 1,807 people flew from Adi Soemarmo Airport in Solo, Central Java, on April 26, 2022, which coincided with the Lebaran 2022 homecoming moment.

General Manager of PT Angkasa Pura I Adi Soemarmo Airport, Yani Ajat Hermawan, said the number of passengers had increased compared to the same period the previous year.

"This figure is up by 70 percent compared to the same period the previous year, at which time Adi Soemarmo Airport only served 1,060 passengers," he said, quoted from Antara, Thursday, April 28.

He said this number had increased again by 144 percent on April 27, where the number of passengers was 2,465 passengers, up from 1,010 passengers.

Furthermore, the frequency of flights also increased by 82 percent, from eleven flights/day ahead of Lebaran last year to 20 flights/day this year.

"As for April 28, 2022, Adi Soemarmo Airport is expected to serve 16 flights with an estimated number of 2,100 passengers, this number has exceeded the number of flights in 2019," he said.

To deal with the surge in the number of passengers that is predicted to occur on D-3 and D+5 Lebaran, his party has made several adjustments, including the addition of airport operating hours from the usual nine hours during the COVID-19 pandemic to 13 hours.

"In addition, the provision of additional time slots for extra and charter flights, as well as the creation of an integrated post in order to ensure services run well," he said.

He said that as of today, there are three airlines that have requested additional flights, including Citilink, Air Asia, and Lion Air.

Meanwhile, PT Angkasa Pura I Adi Soemarmo Airport Branch Office has also opened the Idul Fitri Integrated Air Transport Command Post on April 24, 2022.

"This command post is held for 16 days starting from April 25 to May 10, 2022 by involving several agencies that are members of the airport community, including the TNI, the Airport Authority Office, the Port Health Office (KKP), Airnav Indonesia, airlines, and other agencies. other things," he said.
