Homecoming Route From Garut To Tasikmalaya Is Back To Normal

GARUT - The Garut-Tasikmalaya homecoming route is back to normal for motorized vehicles from two directions which were previously blocked due to a fallen tree blocking the road and hitting two vehicles in Ngamplang, Cilawu District, Garut Regency, West Java.

Head of the Garut Police Traffic Unit AKP Law Syarif Hidayat in Garut, Thursday, April 28, confirmed that the main route connecting Garut Regency with Tasikmalaya was covered by trees on the evening of Wednesday, April 27, but is now running smoothly again.

"For the Cilawu route, there are no obstacles," said UU as quoted by Antara.

He conveyed that the cross-Cilawu provincial route is one of the areas prone to natural disasters such as landslides, including fallen trees.

Motorists who pass that route, he said, must always be vigilant and careful, especially when it rains.

"Yes, the Cilawu route is prone to (natural disasters)," said UU. Previously, a large fallen tree on the side of the road in the Ngamplang area, Cilawu District suddenly collapsed onto the road, then hit four-wheeled vehicles and motorbikes.

The incident left four passengers in the car injured, and the motorcyclist was seriously injured and had to receive medical treatment at the hospital.

A number of officers from the police, Garut BPBD, and the Garut Fire Department immediately tried to evacuate the fallen tree so that traffic flow returned to normal.
