398 Tons Of Waste From The Demonstration Against The Work Creation Law

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Environment Agency transported 398 tonnes of garbage after the demonstration against the Job Creation Law which took place yesterday afternoon until evening.

Head of the DKI Jakarta Environment Agency Andono Warih said that post-action waste began to be cleaned and collected since last night, at around 23.00 WIB. Officers were still cleaning the highway and public facilities that were scattered with garbage until this morning.

"Until now, garbage weighing 398 tons has been collected. There are debris, broken glass, and other garbage left over from yesterday's mass action," said Andono in his statement, Friday, October 8.

He continued, as many as 74 units of the fleet and 1,100 personnel were deployed to carry out garbage transportation at the locations of mass actions.

In detail, there are 12 units of automatic road sweepers (road sweepers), 12 units of pickup, 20 units of inorganic garbage trucks, and 30 units of tiper garbage trucks.

"We have also prepared 1,000 sacks and 500 brooms," Andono continued.

To ensure the cleanliness of public spaces used for community activities, the LH Department is still cleaning roads and public facilities from rubbish and debris until now.

"Now, we are doing debris raid on the Transjakarta route from Thamrin to Gajah Mada. We continue to move and comb until it is complete," he said.
