JAKARTA - Deputy Chairman of the Bogor Regency DPRD, West Java, Agus Salim said that his party would write to the Indonesian Parliament as a follow-up to the rejection of the Job Creation Law (UU) voiced by Bogor Regency workers.

"What are the aspirations of the community, the DPRD signs, the chairman (DPRD) also instructs a cover letter (to the DPR RI) for the repeal of the omnibus law," said Agus Salim, quoted by Antara, Friday, October 9.

According to him, the letter of recommendation for rejection signed by the Chairman and Deputy Chairmen of the Bogor Regency DPRD contained two points. The first point is to convey an orderly demonstration in Bogor Regency, and the second point is a form of recommendation or to continue the aspirations of workers who reject the existence of the Job Creation Law.

"Revocation, because we do not agree with the omnibus law itself. We attach the objections," said the PKS politician.

According to him, making the recommendation letter rounded did not have to go through the approval of the factions in the Bogor Regency DPRD.

"We do not have to ask (to the faction), but in the form of institutions (DPRD). Our job as DPRD convey the aspirations of the people," said Agus Salim.

He realized that the Job Creation Law could only be canceled by two things, namely a Government Regulation in Lieu of a Law (Perpu) from the President, and a judicial review.

"If then there is a good intention from the President to issue a Perpu, yes, if there is an intention to receive input from the public, I am sure he can," he said.

As is known, he and six other DPRD members from the Democrat Party and PKS factions were present in the midst of demonstrators who rejected the Job Creation Law on Jalan Tegar Beriman, Cibinong, Bogor Regency, Thursday.

Members of the Democratic Party Faction, namely Ruhiyat Sujana, Leo Hananto, Irman Nurcahyan, Ade Sanjaya, and Hanafi, then from the PKS Faction namely Agus Salim and Teguh Widodo.
