SUKABUMI - The Sukabumi City Police arrested a hundred members of a motorcycle gang who were deemed to have disturbed residents of Sukabumi City, West Java, after the clashes that occurred on Tuesday, April 26 at midnight.

"After the clashes between motorcycle gangs in Citaming District, Sukabumi City, until early Wednesday, we managed to arrest 127 motorcycle gang members, 13 of whom were young women," said Sukabumi City Police Chief AKBP SY Zainal Abidin in Sukabumi, Antara, Wednesday, April 27.

According to Zainal, apart from arresting motorized gangs whose actions often threaten the safety of residents and carry a share of sharp weapons, his party also confiscated 61 units of two-wheeled vehicles from the two warring motorcycle gangs.

Ironically, from the results of the examination, several members of the motorcycle gang were still underage. Then from the urine examination of 127 motorcycle gang members, 40 people were positive for using drugs and illegal drugs.

"Both the Narcotics Unit and the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Sukabumi City Police are still conducting examinations of the motorcycle gang members and for 40 people who are indicated to use drugs and illegal hard drugs are still being developed," he added.

Zainal said that his party has also provided guidance to hundreds of members of this motorcycle gang, especially since the majority of them are still young or productive, so they don't do the same thing again.

At the same time giving a stern warning if caught again it will be snared by the rules and regulations in force.

His party has also instructed personnel both on duty at the Polres and Polsek levels to increase supervision over convoy actions carried out by any motorcycle gang group so that there will no longer be disturbances in the Kamtibmas.
