Bareskrim Fails Circulation Of 359 Kilograms Of Marijuana And Shabu

JAKARTA - The Directorate of Drug Crimes, Bareskrim Polri together with the Riau and Aceh Regional Police thwarted four attempts at drug trafficking in various parts of Indonesia. In the disclosure, 359 kilograms of marijuana and methamphetamine were confiscated.

"Four cases of drug trafficking in several parts of Indonesia. The total evidence of narcotics types is 121 kilograms of marijuana and 238 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine," said Director of Narcotics Crime at the National Police's Criminal Investigation Department Brigadier General Krisno Halomoan Siregar to reporters, Wednesday, April 27.

The first case that was revealed was the distribution of marijuana on Jalan Nasional Blangkejeren Kutacane, Agusen Village, Blangkejeren District, Gayo Lues Regency, Aceh, on April 4. There are two suspects with the initials SY alias S (29) as the controller and R alias U (47) as the courier.

In the disclosure of this case, at least 121.28 kilograms were confiscated. Then, two people with the initials I and AB were determined as fugitives.

"The first is in Aceh, which is the Aceh-Medan network," he said.

The second case, namely, the disclosure of the distribution of methamphetamine from the Malaysia-Indonesia network with evidence weighing 22 kilograms, on April 8.

Two people with the initials HP alias H and J were named suspects. Meanwhile, someone with the initials F was made a fugitive.

"Disclosure in Beusamerano Village, Aman Hamlet, Peureulak District, East Aceh Regency. The mode is ship to ship, picking up drugs in the middle of the sea in Malaysian waters and transporting them to Indonesian territory," said Krisno.

Then, Bareskrim also uncovered cases of shabu trafficking which was included in the Bengkalis-Riau network. In this case, there are four suspects, MN (30), HA (37), MD (41) and AM alias AT (40).

Not only arresting the suspects, the police also confiscated 47 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine. The mode of smuggling is to disguise it like bottled tea.

"This case was revealed on April 12. We have assigned two DPO initials HK from Malaysia and A alias D from Bengkalis," he said.

Finally, Bareskrim dismantled the international network, the Middle East-Indonesia. Where, the best quality methamphetamine was confiscated in the amount of 169.5 kilograms.

With the disclosure of this case, all suspects were charged with Articles 112 and 114 paragraph (2) in conjunction with Article 132 paragraph (1) of Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics. Thus, they are threatened with the death penalty, life imprisonment or imprisonment for a minimum of 6 years and a maximum of 20 years in prison and a minimum fine of IDR 1 billion and a maximum of IDR 10 billion.
