Sahrul Gunawan Values Airlangga Hartarto The Ideal Figure Of President After Jokowi

BANDUNG - Deputy Regent of Bandung Sahrul Gunawan assessed that the General Chair of the Golkar Party, Airlangga Hartarto, was the right person to continue the performance of Joko Widodo (Jokowi) as president.

The reason is that Airlangga as Coordinating Minister for the Economy and Chair of KPC PEN can escort the Indonesian people to get out of the socio-economic crisis situation in a fair and objective manner.

"We need to appreciate that he is the ideal figure for a post-Pak Jokowi president in 2024," said Sahrul in a written statement, Tuesday, April 26. When contacted, Sahrul explained further about his opinion. According to him, Airlangga is a person who doesn't talk much but works a lot.

"Politics is essentially what the nation needs, not to enjoy the stage," he added.

"We share his contribution to Indonesia's economic recovery," he continued.

Regarding Airlangga's companion in the 2024 presidential election, Sahrul suggested that he cooperate with the Governor of West Java Ridwan Kamil or the Governor of Central Java Ganjar Pranowo.

Sahrul Gunawan was previously a cadre of the Nasdem Party. He then decided to leave the party led by Surya Paloh and join the Golkar Party under the command of Airlangga Hartarto.

He said that his move was after he had done istikhara and thought carefully.

He put forward a number of reasons, one of which was the many figures raised by Golkar, and currently, the party bearing the banyan tree has the most seats in the Bandung Regency DPRD.
