JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) did not arrest the Secretary of the Banten Province Education and Culture Office, Ardius Prihantono. The reason is that the suspect in the alleged corruption case in land acquisition for SMKN 7 South Tangerang was first detained by the Banten High Prosecutor's Office.

"Information has been carried out for other cases, they have been detained by the Banten High Court," said KPK Deputy Chair Alexander Marwata at a press conference at the KPK Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Tuesday, April 26.

Alexander did not elaborate on the legal case that ensnared Ardius, so he was detained by the Banten High Court.

"I don't know what case the prosecutor's office is handling. So they've actually been detained," he said. Previously, the KPK named three suspects in connection with allegations of corruption in land acquisition for the construction of SMKN 7, South Tangerang, Banten Province, for Fiscal Year 2017. They are Ardius Prihantono and two parties. private sector, namely Agus Kartono and Farid Nurdiansyah.

In this case, Ardius is suspected of committing irregularities, including processing and first signing the official report on the payment of land compensation for the construction of the New School Unit of SMKN 7 South Tangerang.

In addition, Ardius represented Agus Kartono in the payment receipt. In fact, the compensation should be carried out simultaneously with the release of rights by the entitled party, namely the land owner.

As a result of the actions of the suspects, the state financial state lost up to Rp. 10.5 billion. In addition, Agus received Rp 9 billion and Farid Nugraha received Rp 1.5 billion.
