JAKARTA - The joint team managed to arrest the Indonesian-Malaysian network drug dealer CL, who was transacting 3 kg of crystal methamphetamine.

The arrest was a synergy between the Tanjung Balai Asahan (TBA) Navy Base (Lanal) and the Tanjung Balai Asahan City Police. The arrests occurred on Friday, April 22 yesterday.

Last Friday, at around 19.00 WIB, the Tanjung Balai Lanal Intelligence Team provided information to the Tanjung Balai Asahan Police Narcotics Unit personnel that methamphetamine had entered Tanjung Balai Asahan from Malaysia by sea. Based on this information, a joint development was carried out.

Information was obtained on the transaction of methamphetamine on Jalan T. Amir Hamzah Kel. District officers. Tanjung Balai South of Tanjung Balai City. The team then conducted reconnaissance.

At 23.10 WIB, the team saw 2 (two) men conducting transactions, then an ambush was carried out and succeeded in securing 1 (one) 42-year-old man along with evidence of 3 (three) plastic wraps of Guanyinwang Chinese Tea green color wrapped in yellow duct tape. It is suspected that this is methamphetamine with a gross weight of 3,000 grams, while 1 (one) person managed to escape.

The suspect and evidence were then taken to the Tanjung Balai Asahan Police Narcotics Unit for safekeeping for further investigation. It didn't take long, on Saturday (23/4) at 21.30 the team from Lanal TBA and the team from the City Police Satnarkoba carried out reconstruction at the TKP which went smoothly.
