People Close To The Palace Brought In, The AGO Will Reveal The Names Of Witnesses In The CPO Export Corruption Case

JAKARTA - The Head of the Legal Information Center (Kapuspenkum) of the Indonesian Attorney General's Office, Ketut Sumedana, stated that he would not hide the names of the witnesses who were summoned in the investigation of the alleged corruption case in the provision of crude palm oil (CPO) export facilities.

"I'm not talking about it. If there is one, we will release all of them, whoever is called, will be released," said Ketut when confirmed by VOI, Sunday, April 24.

This was conveyed in response to the emergence of the names Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan and Kaesang Pangarep who were linked in this case.

Ketut emphasized that currently investigators are still focused on handling this case. For this reason, after the search in the room of the Director General of Domestic Trade, the Indonesian Ministry of Trade's Office and at the house of the Director General of Foreign Affairs, Ketut said that he had not found any such direction.

"There is no direction there (from the results of the search). All the witnesses are the needs of the investigator. It all depends on the needs of the investigator (the Attorney General's Office)," he said.

Previously, it was reported that in the case of the export permit for crude palm oil (CPO) which is being investigated by the Attorney General's Office (AGO), several close names of President Joko Widodo were mentioned.

This arose because there was an alleged link between the company of the Coordinating Minister for Investment, Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, and the sponsor of the Persis Solo football club, which is owned by President Jokowi's youngest son, Kaesang Pangarep.

Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes at the AGO, Febrie Adriansyah, said that his party would summon all parties related to this case.

"We will make summons if there is a connection with evidence and case construction," said Febrie, at a press conference, Friday, April 23.

Febrie also ensured that it was possible for the AGO to summon a number of witnesses who had qualifications in the CPO export corruption crime at the Ministry of Trade (Kemendag).

"The qualification for Corruption has made the community difficult. During the process of proving the alleged article, several people were examined as witnesses, not only at the Ministry of Trade but outside the Ministry of Trade, or experts or the private sector," said Febrie.

Spokesman for the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment (Menko Marves) Jodi Mahardi denied the issue that Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Pandjaitan was involved in this case. According to him, this is a crazy accusation.

Meanwhile Persis Solo has cut off cooperation with PT Wilmar Nabati Indonesia. Kaesang Pangarep emphasized that the cooperation that had existed between the two was carried out in a professional manner.

"In the context of cooperation, the relationship between the two parties is based on the principle of professionalism that does not interfere / get involved in the work / managerial system of each company, except in the context of the scope of cooperation as sponsorship of Exactly in Liga 2 2021," he said.

In this CPO export case, the Attorney General's Office has named 4 people as suspects. One of them is the Director General of Foreign Trade of the Ministry of Trade with the initials IWW.

Three other people came from the private sector, namely the Commissioner of PT Wilmar Nabati Indonesia with the initials MPT, the Senior Manager Corporate Affairs of Permata Hijau Group (PHG) with the initials SMA, and the General Manager at PT Musim Mas with the initials PT.

Regarding the MPT investigation, he is suspected of having business relations with the Toba Sejahtera Group, a company that is said to be linked to one of the ministers as well as Wilmar Plantations.

The two business partnerships gave birth to PT Tritunggal Sentra Buana. PT Toba Sejahtera reportedly holds a 25 percent stake in Tritunggal, which owns an oil palm plantation in Saliki, East Kalimantan.

Meanwhile, Parulian's relationship with Kaesang is because PT Wilmar Nabati Indonesia is a subsidiary of the Wilmar Group which is the sponsor of the Persis Solo football club belonging to Jokowi's youngest son in Liga 2 2021.
