NasDem-Golkar Discusses The Rights Of The Pj Walkot Makassar Questionnaire, PDIP Refuses

MAKASSAR - Chairman of the PDI-P Faction of the Makassar City DPRD, Mesakh Raymond Rantepadang rejects the discourse of the right to inquiry against the Acting Mayor of Makassar, Rudy Djamaluddin. The discourse on the right to inquiry emerged from members of the NasDem and Golkar factions.

"We don't agree," Mesakh told VOI, Wednesday, October 7 evening.

According to him, the monitoring and evaluation meeting every quarter is sufficient space to question or ask for an explanation from the Makassar City Government regarding the budget for handling COVID-19.

"The container has been prepared for quarterly monitoring and evacuation, the related commission or the Banggar can schedule an agenda related to this," said a member of the Makassar DPRD Budget Agency.

Meanwhile, PKS faction chairman Hadi Ibrahim Baso admitted that he was still studying the urgency of the questionnaire right being discussed against Prof. Rudy, the nickname of Pj Walkot Makassar. PKS will hold a faction meeting.

"We are temporarily studying in depth in this matter regarding the discourse on the right to inquiry process that will be undertaken by friends," said Hadi who is also Deputy Chairman of Commission B for Finance and Economics at the Makassar DPRD.

"And we want to have a meeting with our fellow factions and the expert team to see it all," he continued.

Meanwhile, a member of the Gerindra faction, Kasrudi, was of the opinion that the discourse on the right to inquiry was changed to the formation of a special committee. The special committee is considered to be more effective in finding out one main problem.

"This is the COVID-19 fund, the focus is actually on the special committee. If the interpellation is more extensive, we need to be careful to find out first. If we want to focus on COVID, we better schedule the special committee," said Kasrudi.

The discourse on the right to inquiry at the Makassar DPRD surfaced from the statement made by a spokesman for the Budget Agency, Mario David. The NasDem politician said the questionnaire team against Pj Walkot Makassar would be formed after the recess.

"This is just a discourse, then this week we are still in recess, maybe next week after we recess lobbying factions," said Mario.

The Makassar DPRD, according to the Head of the Makassar NasDem DPD Bappilu, highlighted the decree issued by Pj Walkot Rudy.

It is suspected that there are irregularities in the program with a budget allocation of Rp263 billion without going through the deliberations at the DPRD. Even though the Makassar City Government, according to Mario, should have allocated a priority budget for handling the COVID-19 pandemic.

"There must also be a social security program and an economic security program due to COVID-19. This is what has no priority program in the 2020 Revised APBD budget proposed by the Makassar City Government, "said Mario.
