Jakarta Rain, 4 Trees Fall In Cilandak

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) noted that four trees were uprooted due to rain and strong winds that hit a number of areas in the capital.

"The number of fallen trees as of 15.00 WIB in South Jakarta is 4 trees," said Head of the BNPB Disaster Information and Data Center M. Inshaf in his statement, Friday, April 22.

The four fallen trees are in Cilandak District. Details of the location of the fallen tree are on Jalan Lebak Bulus 1 which hit the electric cable and the car.

Then, two trees fell on Jalan Tunda Bara which hit a car, and one tree fell on Jalan Wijaya Kusuma. Insaf said there were no victims as a result of this fallen tree incident.

"The handling is being handled by the fire department, village PPSU, the Forestry Service, BPBD, and Satpol PP," said Insaf.

Meanwhile, the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency predicts moderate to heavy rain which can be accompanied by lightning and strong winds still has the potential to occur in some areas in the five administrative cities of Jakarta and the Thousand Islands Regency until 18.00 WIB.

It is predicted that Central Jakarta will rain in Gambir, Sawah Besar, Kemayoran, Senen, Cempaka Putih, Menteng and Tanah Abang.

Rain in North Jakarta is predicted to be located in Penjaringan, Tanjung Priok, Koja, Cilincing, Pademangan, and Kelapa Gading. Rain in West Jakarta is located in Cengkareng, Grogol Petamburan, Taman Sari, Tambora, Kebon Jeruk, Kalideres, Palmerah, and Kembangan.

Rain in South Jakarta is predicted to be located in Tebet, Setiabudi, Mampang Prapatan, Kebayoran Lama, Kebayoran Baru, Pancoran, Pesanggrahan, Pasar Minggu, Cilandak, and Jagakarsa.

Rain in East Jakarta is predicted to be located in Matraman, Pulogadung, Jatinegara, Cakung, Duren Sawit, Kramatjati, Pasar Rebo, Makasar, Ciracas and Cipayung. Rain in the Thousand Islands is predicted to be located in the North Thousand Islands and the South Thousand Islands.
