JAKARTA - The AGO has appointed seven Public Prosecutors (JPU) to follow the progress of the investigation into the DNA Pro Trading Robot case.

"That with the receipt of the Notification of the Commencement of Investigation (SPDP) on behalf of the suspect PT. DPA, the Deputy Attorney General for General Crimes has appointed seven public prosecutors to follow the progress of the investigation of criminal cases," said Head of the Center for Legal Information (Kapuspenkum) Attorney General Ketut Sumedana in a statement received in Jakarta, Friday, April 22, as reported by Antara.

The alleged crime that ensnared the DNA Pro Trading Robot is an alleged crime in the trading sector. The DNA Pro Trading Robot is suspected of trading futures commodity investment facilities, even though it does not have a trading license.

Notification of the Commencement of Investigation (SPDP) was sent by Investigators of the Directorate of Economic and Special Crimes of the Indonesian Police Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim Polri) on March 17, 2022.

The letter was received by the Secretariat of the Deputy Attorney General for General Crimes on March 21, 2022, which later became the basis for the appointment of seven Public Prosecutors to follow the progress of the investigation of criminal cases on behalf of the suspect PT. DPA.

"The prosecutor's team will then study the case file of the suspect PT. DPA after it was received during Phase I and provide instructions on the assets that have been confiscated from PT. DPA and other parties involved in the crime suspected of violating Article 106 in conjunction with Article 24 Law Number 11 of 2020 concerning Job Creation," he said.

DNA Pro is a trading robot application that is blocked by the government. In fact, the Ministry of Trade (Kemendag) together with the Directorate of Special Economic Crimes (Dittipideksus) of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police had sealed off PT DNA Pro Akademi on Friday (28/1).

Regarding the DNA Pro case, there are a number of public figures who have undergone examination at the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police, such as Rossa who was questioned on Thursday (21/4), Billy Syahputra and Yosi Project Pop (21/4), Rizky Billar and Lesti Kejora (20/4). ), and Ivan Gunawan (14/4).

In this case, investigators named 12 people as suspects. The suspects were charged with Article 106 in conjunction with Article 24 and/or Article 105 in conjunction with Article 9 of Law Number 7 of 2014 concerning Trade and/or Article 3, Article 5 in conjunction with Article 10 of Law Number 8 of 2010 concerning the Eradication and Prevention of Crime Money Laundering (TPPU).
