The arrests were made based on reports from local residents that in Tavanjuka Village, it was suspected that there were frequent transactions of buying and selling methamphetamine.

"The Narcotics Head AKP Marthen Tanda led the investigation and managed to arrest five people," he explained, quoted by Antara.

"Then the perpetrators were taken to the Makopolresta Palu for further processing," added Barliansyah.

In addition to the five perpetrators, the police also secured a number of evidence at the crime scene including 36 plastic clip packages suspected of containing shabu, digital scales, and cell phones.

The evidence was secured from three perpetrators, namely RA, SL and UT.

"During the arrest of the owner of the methamphetamine, members also found two other people at the crime scene, so they were also taken into custody," said Pol Kombes Barliansyah.

Barliansyah emphasized that the police would take firm action against narcotics abusers in Palu City.
