Reviewing The Implementation Of 1 Million Booster Vaccinations, National Police Chief Ensures Exceeding Target

JAKARTA - The National Police in collaboration with the Nahdlatul Ulama Executive Board (PBNU) and the Ministry of Religion (Kemenag) held a simultaneous booster vaccination program throughout Indonesia.

National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo said that the vaccination program obtained satisfactory results because it exceeded the target of 1 million vaccines. In fact, the activity just started as of today.

"Today, thank God, we are able to carry out activities that are a joint program of the police, PBNU and the Ministry of Religion, to carry out the one million booster vaccine program. Thank God, today, from the cooperation that was conveyed earlier, we were able to break through the figure of 1.3 million," said Sigit, Thursday, April 21.

This vaccination program is held to prevent an increase in COVID-19 cases after Eid 2022. The government has now allowed people to go home

High community mobility makes the potential for COVID-19 transmission to increase.

Therefore, the public is advised to immediately implement a booster vaccination. The vaccinator will always be ready to serve the community until the day before Eid.

"We have agreed that if the public's interest is high, the booster vaccination program will be carried out until D-1, whether it is carried out during the day or after the tarawih prayer," said Listyo.

In addition, the National Police Chief also asked the people who were going home to arrange a departure schedule and the route to be taken. The goal is to avoid or reduce congestion

"Let's take care together, so that this homecoming will be a healthy homecoming and a comfortable homecoming. Healthy because all of us have implemented complete vaccines and boosters. It's convenient because we can all arrange the homecoming trip so that congestion that will occur can be avoided," said Sigit.
