KPK Chairman Hopes 55 New Prosecutors To Strengthen Corruption Eradication Orchestra

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Firil Bahuri hopes that the 55 new prosecutors serving at the KPK can strengthen the corruption eradication orchestration.

Firli together with two KPK Deputy Chairs Alexander Marwata and Nawawi Pomolango provided briefing to the 55 prosecutors at the KPK Red and White Building, Jakarta, Wednesday, April 20.

"All parties have the responsibility of eradicating corruption. The KPK is grateful that the eradication of corruption is effective because all law enforcement officers can work together. 'In harmonia progressio', eradicating corruption in harmony," Firli said in his statement quoted by Antara.

In the briefing, Firli expressed his appreciation for the performance of eradicating corruption by the Attorney General's Office (AGO).

Firli conveyed the need for orchestration in eradicating corruption to build an anti-corruption culture so that one voice can open a case, one courage can uncover a series of crimes, and one honesty can close the opportunity for stealing people's money.

The Attorney General, said Firli Bahuri, expressed his hope that the prosecutors who are currently joining the KPK will learn a lot so that when they return to the AGO they will have more capabilities in eradicating corruption.

The briefing is a continuation of the acceptance of 55 new prosecutors assigned to the KPK. Admissions have gone through a recruitment and selection process since 2021.

They have been inaugurated on February 10, 2022 with the assignment carried out in two stages. The first stage, for 12 employees who will start serving on February 10, 2022, consists of seven employees at the Directorate of Prosecution, two employees at the Directorate of Asset Tracking, Evidence Management and Execution (Labuksi), two employees at the Deputy for Coordination and Supervision, and one employee at the Secretariat. Supervisory Board.

Then, the second stage is for 43 employees who will start serving on April 11, 2022, at the Directorate of Prosecution with 34 employees, the Labuksi Directorate with three employees, the Deputy for Coordination and Supervision of four employees, the inspectorate with one employee, and at the Secretariat of the Supervisory Board one employee.
