JAKARTA - Chairman of the DKI Jakarta DPRD Prasetyo Edi Marsudi has set a schedule for the dismissal of Mohamad Taufik from the position of Deputy Chair of the DKI Jakarta DPRD on Tuesday, April 26.

This was agreed in a meeting of the Jakarta DPRD Deliberative Council chaired by Prasetyo today. Thus, next week M. Taufik will be officially replaced by Rani Mauliani as Deputy Chair of the DKI Jakarta DPRD.

Previously, Rani held the position of Chair of the Gerindra Faction of the DKI DPRD. While serving as chairman of the DPRD, his position as faction chairman will be replaced by another member of the Gerindra faction.

"It can be agreed that the schedule for the announcement of the dismissal of the Deputy Chairperson of the DKI Jakarta Provincial DPRD Haji Mohamad Taufik and the appointment of a replacement candidate for the Deputy Chairperson of the DKI Jakarta Provincial DPRD Hajah Rani Mauliani from the Gerindra faction," said Prasetyo at the DKI Jakarta DPRD Building, Tuesday, April 19.

"For that, I ask again, can it be approved?" Prasetyo asked the Bamus members who were present. All members expressed their agreement and Prasetyo tapped the hammer as a sign of approval of the scheduling of the plenary meeting to replace the Deputy Chair of the DKI DPRD from the Gerindra Faction next week.

Previously, on April 1, 2022, Gerindra claimed to have removed Taufik from the position of Deputy Chairman of the DKI Jakarta DPRD. This was stated by the Chairperson of the DPD Gerindra DKI, Ahmad Riza Patria, after previously denying the news that had been circulating since mid-March.

Taufik himself once responded to the decision of the Gerindra DPP which was conveyed by the DKI Gerindra DPD to the DKI DPRD. According to him, if his removal as deputy chairman of the DKI DPRD was a party decision, he would not object.

"Yes, it's okay (to be removed). If it's an organizational decision, I won't deny it," said Taufik some time ago.
