BANJAR - 15 people are trapped in the collapsed minimarket building in Gambut District, Banjar Regency, South Kalimantan.

Deputy Chief of Police of Banjar, Commissioner Mohammad Fihim, who was at the scene said the 15 people are temporary data from the statements of witnesses.

"There are six employees of the Alfamart minimarket on duty, the remaining nine are estimated to be shopping", said Mohammad Fihim, quoted by ANTARA, Monday, April 18.

As of Monday night, the evacuation process for trapped victims is still being carried out by joint officers of the Army-Police, National Search and Rescue Agency, Regional Disaster Management Agency, and volunteers.

Commissioner said that from the minimarket employees, three people had been successfully evacuated from the wreckage in a safe condition and were being treated at the nearest health center.

"The victim was injured, Alhamdulilah, in a safe condition", he said.

According to Commissioner, the evacuation process requires heavy equipment to be able to lift the rubble of the destroyed building. Meanwhile, officers are still trying to find survivors.
