"There has been a marriage of a prisoner entrusted by the Denpasar District Attorney who is entrusted with the Denpasar Police Rutan, named I Wayan Bawa Kartika. He is a prisoner of narcotics cases," said Denpasar Police Chief AKBP Bambang Yugo Pamungkas, Monday, April 18.

The marriage took place with a letter from the Denpasar Attorney General's Office, Number B /387/N.1.10/Enz.2/04/2022 dated April 14, 2022, regarding the request for a place to borrow to carry out the marriage of defendant I Wayan Bawa Kartika.

The wedding ceremony is carried out in the Hindu religion. After marriage, the prisoners were escorted back to the Denpasar Police Rutan.

"Denpasar Police provide facilities to carry out pawiwahan or weddings for prisoner Wayan Bawa Kartika, whose case is currently in the second stage of the process and unites with the Denpasar District Attorney's detainee. involved in narcotics crime," he added.

"After the pawiwahan activity, the men returned to the Denpasar Police Detention Center and the bride returned to her house," said the Denpasar Police Chief.

The suspect I Wayan Bawa Kartika (34) from Babakan Village, Gianyar Regency, Bali was arrested on December 3, 2021. From the perpetrators, evidence of methamphetamine and ecstasy were secured.

"We provide this facility, because this is their right, the right of prisoners and all citizens to carry out marriages. So, we provide facilities," he said.
