DPR: Israel Condemns Russian Attack On Ukraine But Confiscates Palestinian Territories With Violence

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Indonesian-Palestinian Bilateral Cooperation Group (GKSB) DPR, Syahrul Aidi Maazat, assessed that Israel has played a different role by rejecting the Russian attack on Ukraine but continuing to seize Palestinian territory without hesitation despite violating human rights.

He called on all countries and the United Nations (UN) to act immediately to stop Israeli attacks on Palestine.

"The DPR RI GKSB condemns the attack when people worship at the Al Aqsa Mosque. This brutal and human rights violation continues to be shown by Israel to the international community," Syahrul said in his statement in Jakarta, Sunday, April 17.

Israeli soldiers are known to attack Al Aqsa Mosque after Friday prayers, April 15. As a result 150 Palestinians were injured while hundreds more were arrested.

Syahrul asked Western countries to also highlight Israel's actions. According to him, Western countries should not apply double standards, namely reacting strongly to the Russia-Ukraine conflict but weak to other countries, especially the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

"Israel's actions are outrageous, on the one hand condemning Russia's attack on Ukraine, but on the other hand, it has been annexing Palestinian territories by force for decades," he said, as reported by Antara.

According to him, Israel has become a "parasite" for the world because it has always been the trigger for various international conflicts, so it must be removed from the global map.

In addition, Syahrul Aidi asked the Indonesian government to use international forums such as the United Nations, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), the G-20 and others to find a way out of all conflicts that occurred in Palestine.
