Condemns Israel's Action To Attack The Aqsa Mosque, MER-C Indonesia Says It's Like A Ritual

JAKARTA - Criticisms against Israel regarding the attack on Palestinians at the Aqsa Mosque continue to arrive. Moreover, the action was carried out while the residents were praying.

The Indonesian Medical Emergency Rescue Committee (MER-C) also condemned the action. They also highlighted the attack which was carried out during the holy month of Ramadan.

"MER-C condemns attacks on Palestinian civilians who are worshiping, especially attacks carried out in the holy month of Ramadan," said Chairman of the Presidium of MER-C Indonesia, Dr. Sarbini Abdul Murad in a written statement from MER-C, as reported by Antara, Saturday, April 16.

Sarbini said that Israel's continued brutal attacks, especially in the West Bank, had become a ritual.

Israel is considered to have damaged the calm and shade of the holy month of Ramadan, where Muslims in Palestine and around the world are solemnly carrying out their worship. This attack is believed to have also sparked the anger of Muslims around the world.

"The brutal actions carried out by Israel will provoke a resistance reaction from the factions of the struggle in Palestine," he said.

According to him, the Indonesian government needs to call on the international community to speak up and take steps to stop Israel's violence against Palestine.

This needs to be done immediately to prevent the escalation of the conflict from continuing to escalate and extend to the Gaza Strip which will result in more civilian casualties.

MER-C Indonesia also invites all Indonesian people to continue to pray for the Palestinians to be given protection and strength to defend themselves.
