Police House In Denpasar Burns, Neighbors Killed Allegedly Falls While Escape

DENPASAR - Luh Parmi (62) from Buleleng Regency, Bali, died because he allegedly fell while saving himself from a fire at his neighbor's house in North Denpasar.

Head of Public Relations of Denpasar Police, Iptu Ketut Sukadi, said the victim had been taken to Puri Raharja Hospital, Denpasar, for medical assistance.

"Then it was discovered that the victim had died on the way to the hospital, and it was confirmed by a medical certificate of cause of death from the hospital which was signed and declared dead," said Sukadi, Saturday, April 16.

According to the victim's child, the car and the neighbor's house belonging to a police officer caught fire at around 20.00 WITA, Friday, April 15. Residents tried to extinguish the fire that was getting bigger.

Because the victim's house was next door, the victim's child returned home to take out his belongings. The victim's child saw the victim had fallen and passed out. The victim was immediately taken to the hospital.

"Furthermore, the witness and his mother got into an ambulance and were immediately taken to the Puri Raharja hospital and arrived at the hospital being treated by the emergency room doctor and the results of the doctor's examination that his mother died," added Sukadi.

The owner of the burnt house is known to the police. At the time of the incident, the husband and wife owner of the house was praying tarawih.

"When the witness, the victim and her husband came home from tarawih and arrived at the house at around 20.45 WITA, they saw that his house was on fire," he said.

The fire was handled by the Denpasar City BPBD team, which deployed 5 fire engines. As a result of the fire, the Honda CRV also caught fire.
