The Ketapang Police Chief Monitors The Security Of The Cathedral Of Santa Gema Galgani Ahead Of The Good Friday Mass

KETAPANG - Ketapang Police Chief, West Kalimantan AKBP Yani Permana checked and monitored the security of a number of churches ahead of the Christian Good Friday Mass. One of the things he visited was the Cathedral Church of Santa Echo Galgani.

"We carried out this check to ensure that Christians in Ketapang Regency carry out the Good Friday Mass safely and comfortably," said Yani Permana in a written statement in Ketapang, Friday, April 15, as reported by Antara.

The Cathedral Church of Santa Gema Galgani on Jalan A Yani Ketapang was the church visited by the two jasmine officers.

During his visit, Ketapang Police Chief Yani Permana directly monitored the sterilization and security process carried out by Polres personnel at the church, in addition, he also checked the readiness of the Vaccination Post which was established in the church area.

"We will always be ready to provide excellent service to the community through security at every religious activity," he said.

He added that today the Ketapang Police personnel carried out area sterilization and security for the Good Friday Mass at the Cathedral Church of Santa Gema Galgani Ketapang.

"We did this to ensure that the Good Friday Mass in Ketapang was safe and conducive," he said.

On that occasion, he added, that in every church a health and vaccination post was also prepared, as an effort to ensure the implementation of the health protocols was carried out properly and at the same time as a vaccine booth that was prepared by his party for the congregation who had not received the vaccine.

"We hope that with the security of worship and the provision of vaccine booths in every church, the implementation of the Good Friday and Easter Mass services in the Ketapang Regency area will run safely, in an orderly and conducive manner and free from potential exposure to the COVID-19 virus," he concluded.
