PALEMBANG - The panel of judges at the Palembang District Court, South Sumatra, sentenced an unscrupulous Sriwijaya University (Unsri) lecturer to a case of alleged sexual harassment of female students.
The verdict was read by the Chairperson of the Panel of Judges, Fatimah, in a verdict hearing at the Palembang District Court, which was attended by the defendant Aditya Rol Azmi, an online lecturer at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Science (FKIP).

For this action, the Panel of Judges ordered the defendant to remain in detention, namely at the Class IA Pakjo Detention Center, Palembang.
“The defendant is an educator who should set a good example and become a burdensome consideration. Then the mitigating thing is the attitude of the defendant who admits his actions," said Judge Fatimah.
Meanwhile, the defendant Aditya stated that he would consider accepting or submitting an appeal, through his legal advisor, against the sentence given by the panel of judges.

For this action, the Unsri rectorate disabled the defendant Aditya as a lecturer and his functional position at FKIP Unsri.
