Bobby Nasution Confirms Pos Bloc Medan Is A Place For Local MSMEs

MEDAN - Medan Mayor Bobby Nasution emphasized that the Medan Bloc Post, which was opened on August 17, 2022, is a place for MSMEs and local creative communities to market their products and works.

"The products and works of the Medan children are very good. Many big names in Jakarta, Yogjakarta, and also Bandung are from Medan," Bobby Nasution said in Medan as reported by Antara, Tuesday, April 12.

He emphasized this emphasis after attending the introduction of Pos Bloc Medan at the Medan Post Office which was built by PT Pos Properti Indonesia in collaboration with PT Ruang Kreatif Pos.

Bobby Nasution stated that he did not want the Medan Bloc Post to be filled with MSME actors and various creative industry works from outside the capital city of North Sumatra.

Because, he continued, there has been an assumption, especially among SMEs and the local creative community, that if they want to develop, they must move from the city of Medan.

"This assumption should be eliminated by the presence of Pos Bloc Medan which provides space for MSME actors and creative communities in Medan City," said Bobby.

The mayor of Medan also asked the Medan City Cooperatives and SMEs Service to support the Medan Bloc Post, because this program is an effort by the Medan City Government so that MSMEs and local creative communities can advance to class.

Data from the Medan City Cooperatives and SMEs Service states that the number of MSMEs fostered by the Medan City Government is around 27,000 units out of a total of 70,000 units recorded.

"Later, in the building area as a cultural heritage, there will be MSME tenants engaged in various creative industries, such as culinary, music, film, fashion and crafts," said Mayor Bobby Nasution.
