KEDIRI - The Customs Service and Supervision Office (KPPBC) of Kediri Excise Type, East Java succeeded in thwarting a shipment of illegal cigarettes transported by bus across the Kediri Customs and Excise area, with an estimated value of Rp930,240,000.

Perpetrators are threatened with imprisonment for a minimum of one year and a maximum of five years or a fine of at least twice the value of the excise duty and a maximum of 10 times the value of the excise that should be paid.

Meanwhile, the evidence is still being kept at the Kediri Customs Office, while continuing to conduct intensive examinations of a number of witnesses.
