Horror! Witness Sees Woman's Feet Stuck In Rolling Door When Fire Burns Workshop At Warakas Tanjung Priok

JAKARTA – Sri Lestari (65), a resident of Jalan Warakas, Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta, was shocked when she saw her neighbor died along with her young children. In fact, Sri saw for herself the condition of the victim was very terrible.

Of the five people who died in the shophouse, three people were piled up behind the front rolling door. Sri thought that at that time his neighbor was trying to save himself from the fire trap.

The elderly woman said that she had seen the legs of the victim's wife, Dermawati Simanjuntak (41). Sri was sure that it was Dermawati because she saw her white skin.

"When I came out the fire was already big, but not very big. Then there was a leg stuck to the rolling door. One seed, only one side. I don't know exactly, but I think it was his wife. The problem is his legs are white," said Sri.

Shortly after seeing the pinched leg, Sri said, there was an explosion sound from inside the workshop. He assumed it was the sound of a compressor or motor in the building.

"It's too late. The victim's condition is below. He said that there were four lying in front, one behind. The victim couldn't go through the back door, he said it was locked too," he said.

The residents of Warakas worked together to extinguish the fire, and even tried to break down the rolling door which was made of iron. Sri said the rolling door was difficult to open. Because of that, Sri continued, residents broke it down.

A shophouse that was used as a motorcycle repair shop caught fire on Jalan Warakas, Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta, early Tuesday, April 12. A total of five people consisting of father, mother and child died simultaneously in the room. They are DWS (50), JVT (50), DRS (25) A (15) and L (10).
