Police Name 6 Suspects Of Beating Ade Armando, Only 2 Arrested

JAKARTA - The police arrested two suspects in the case of beating Ade Armando in the DPR building area during a student demonstration. The two suspects are Muhammad Bagja and Komar.

"Two suspects have just been arrested," said the Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya Kombes E. Zulpan to reporters, Tuesday, April 12.

The suspects, said Zulpan, were arrested in different locations. The suspect, Bagja, was secured in the Jonggol and Komar areas in South Jakarta.

But it has not been clearly explained about the role of the two. The reason, the examination process is still ongoing.

"Both are still being questioned," said Zulpan.

Meanwhile, Director of the General Criminal Investigation of the Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Tubagus Ade Hidayat said there were at least 6 people who beat Ade Armando. This number is based on the results of an analysis with sufficient evidence.

"The number of suspects is still growing, 2 of the 6 named (suspects, ed) have been arrested," said Tubagus.

Meanwhile, the other four are still being hunted. They were also asked to surrender.

"While we urge the other 4 people to surrender immediately," said Tubagus.

Ade Armando became a victim of a beating in the DPR building area, on April 11. However, it is not clear what triggered the assault.

As a result of the beating, Ade Armando suffered injuries in several parts of his body. Worst of all, he had a head wound.
