Dr. Algooth Putranto: Police Must Take Strict Action In Investigating Persecutors Ade Armando

JAKARTA - Chair of the alumni of the Paramadina Graduate School of Communication (PGSC), Dr. Algooth Putranto is concerned about the mass violence of the demonstration 'Rejection of the Extension of the Presidential Office' which has harmed lecturer Dr. Ade Armando today Monday 11 April.

"We regret the acts of violence committed in the month of Ramadan. Besides that, after all, Bang Ade is a lecturer. Our teacher. Our parents. The police must act decisively to investigate this incident," said the lecturer at the Graduate School of Sahid University.

Algooth admitted that he was surprised that this event could occur considering that Ade Armando had always supported President Joko Widodo, but later opposed the proposal to extend President Jokowi's term of office.

“What I know is that Bang Ade, who usually supports Jokowi, as a scientist, is always at the forefront of opposing dull thinking. This time he was against extending the term of office of the President which violated the constitution. It could be that Bang Ade has been targeted by certain parties," he said.

He saw the indications from the sequence of events that were out of sync, namely, if it was true that this was the pure act of students and students, it would be very strange for them to act like that. “Students and students participating in demonstrations are usually fierce to intruders.”

Next, he continued, the current demo trend is part of the lifestyle. They will look beautiful and smell good. They will communicate their presence. Just look at the demonstrations against the KPK Bill and anti-Omnibus Law.

Then there was an upload by one of the demonstration participants via social media who reported the presence of Ade Armando at the demonstration site. "The post was later deleted. If you look at the uploader's photo, it feels like a doctoral student, aka too old to claim to be a student."

The next indication is the rapid identification of the alleged perpetrators of Ade Armando's persecutors, which are spread through social media mass lines. "If you look at their profiles, I'm not sure they are students. Maybe frustrated students don't graduate."
