Eye Witness Named More Than 5 Perpetrators Of Burning Pospol Pejompongan

JAKARTA - The Inafis Polda Metro Jaya team conducted a crime scene investigation of the burning of the Pejompongan Sub-Sector Police Post (Pospol), Tanah Abang District, Central Jakarta, which was carried out by an unknown mass group.

It is known that the police post was burned at 18:42 WIB and extinguished about an hour later. The Police Post, which is located on the Pejompongan IV road section, has now been extinguished and is being handled by the Police.

The police have also put up police lines around the Pospol. Seen scattered glass shards scattered in the front area of Pospol.

According to one of the eyewitnesses of the incident, Haedar (23), an unidentified mass group came to destroy the Presisi banner which was in front of the Pejompongan Police Post. The incident occurred at around 18.40 WIB.

"It was destroyed with bamboo and stoned. Destroyed together, they knocked down the Precision sign," said Haedar, who happened to be passing through the area.

According to Haedar, there were more than five people who damaged the Pospol.

"Initially there were small sparks at the Pospol after it was burned, then the fire grew," he said.

One of the police officers said that until now the perpetrators of the arson and the motive for the Pospol burning were not known.

"Really. I just received a report that it was true that it was burned, the motive and the perpetrators don't know yet," said one police officer, to VOI, Monday, April 11.
