Update On COVID-19 As Of October 3: New Positive Cases 4,007, Accumulative Cases Nearly 300 Thousand

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released data on the addition of the latest COVID-19 cases as of Saturday, October 3. Noted, from the number of specimens examined as many as 43,487 specimens examined through the realtime polymerase chain reaction (PCR) method and molecular rapid test (TCM), there were 4,007 new positive cases of COVID-19. In addition, Indonesia's positivity rate is currently at 14.4 percent.

"With the addition of 4,007 new positive cases of COVID-19, currently the accumulated number of COVID-19 cases in Indonesia has reached 299,506," said the Ministry of Health as quoted from his written statement, Saturday, October 3.

Meanwhile, there are currently 3,172 patients who have recovered, with the accumulated figure reaching 225,052 people. Currently, the number of patients who died has reached 83 days and the accumulation rate has reached 11,055 people.

The number of suspects currently reaches 139,099 people and there are 497 districts / cities affected by COVID-19.

Furthermore, the Ministry of Health also explained the provinces with the most new cases. The first place is DKI Jakarta with the addition of 1,265 cases with accumulative cases reaching 77,452 people. Next, Central Java Province also recorded an additional 343 cases with a total accumulation of 23,450.

Next is West Java with the addition of 343 cases with an accumulation of cases reaching 23,651. The last is East Java with the addition of 308 cases with an accumulation of cases reaching 44,649.

Meanwhile, the provinces with the highest number of recovered cases were DKI Jakarta with 1,188 people, followed by Riau with 488 people, East Java with 346 people, and Central Java with 200 people.

There are two provinces where there are no additional cases, namely Gorontalo and Maluku. Meanwhile, provinces that reported additional cases of less than 10 were East Nusa Tenggara, North Kalimantan, West Kalimantan, Bengkulu, and Lampung.
